Progress Teaching

Every adult matters - evaluating and developing Teaching Assistants' practice in ProgressTeaching

The TA Teaching and Learning Framework can be configured in the ProgressTeaching platform for schools or trusts to evaluate and develop TAs’ practice.

The three teaching Habits have been meticulously modelled around the EEF’s ‘Deployment of Teaching Assistants’ report, 2025 as well as the relevant sections of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework, 2025.

Generate the teaching and learning evidence you need to celebrate your TAs’ best practice and inform your TA development strategy.

Track your TAs’ progress with their action steps in each Habit.

As soon as the TA Teaching and Learning Framework is configured in the platform, you can start to analyse feedback through our comprehensive and insightful dashboards.

In schools, every adult matters. As the Education Endowment Foundation said in 2021, “The average impact of the deployment of teaching assistants is about an additional four months’ progress over the course of a year.”

So if we’re using a teaching and learning framework with teachers, it follows that we should be using one with Teaching Assistants too.

ProgressTeaching’s TA Teaching and Learning Framework is based tightly around the EEF’s ‘Deployment of TAs report’, 2025 and weaves in key points about TAs / additional adults from Ofsted’s inspection toolkit.

If you’d like to take a look at the framework in full, you can access it, as well as the recent webinar we ran on the theme, by clicking on the button above.
