Great teachers are fundamental to a great education. Great teaching is no accident. It comes from a culture of regular, focussed feedback and well-planned CPD.
We’re passionate about making sure all children get an excellent education.
We are the only teaching improvement platform. We bring teacher development, student attainment and parent communication into a centralised place.
ProgressTeaching was developed by Peter Hughes, CEO of the Mossbourne Federation.
He wanted to give his team the tools they needed to be great teachers. He quickly realised that they weren’t able to take action and make decisions quickly because the information they needed was held in lots of different places.
Peter was determined to improve teaching and so he built a platform that would put data and actionable insights at his staff’s fingertips.
Today Peter’s schools use ProgressTeaching daily. It informs everything they do from creating roadmaps for CPD, to planning targeted interventions, and engaging with parents.
The platform has been such a success at the Mossbourne Federation that it is now being used at schools and trusts throughout the UK.

About us
The ProgressTeaching teaching improvement platform was developed by Peter Hughes, CEO of the Mossbourne Federation. He did this because he wanted to give his team the tools they needed to be great teachers.
He quickly realised that they weren’t able to take action and make decisions quickly because the information they needed was held in lots of different places.
Peter was determined to improve teaching. So, he built a platform that would put data and actionable insights at his staff’s fingertips.
Today Peter’s schools use ProgressTeaching daily. It informs everything they do to improve the quality of teaching and learning – from creating roadmaps for CPD, recording feedback from lesson observations, to planning targeted interventions, and engaging with parents.
